Lets Hit one day during the mornings!
Some unsolicited on your forehand after watching in slow motion. This is your current swing sequence: - You track the ball with your racquet at waist height - As your hands break, your racquet dips low (which should be the position before the racquet flip_ - But then, as the ball bounces, you bring your racquet all the way up to head height (this is the position your racquet should be in as you're tracking the ball and before your hands separate) - At this point you're way late in your preparation and your timing/contact is off as a result. You need to focus on keep your racquet up high on the tracking and takeback. The wasted motion of dipping it then bringing it all the way back up is killing your power and spin potential. I suggest watching a bunch of slow-mo videos of high-level forehands and comparing their tracking and takebacks to yours. You make good contact though and you keep your feet active -- I think you'll progress really quickly when you revisit some of those fundamentals. Have fun out there!
Thank you very much for the tips. It is so hard to recognize what I’m doing wrong when playing, so I started taking videos. My first thing to correct was footwork. I was told I’m off balance and leaning backwards on my shots. In these past few weeks my footwork and balance have improved substantially and am now stepping into the shot. I am going to work on the forehand take back and follow your tip. I’m often hitting the ball late and need to correct this. I was also overrunning my backhand and sort of jamming myself, losing power. Thanks for the positive words and taking the time here. Truly appreciated. I have a passion for the sport and am thoroughly enjoying the learning journey. 👍
This is awkward
You took the words right out of my mouth!
Haha yes, what are we doing here watching this?
How did you find this video? Lol. I’m two and a half years into tennis and trying to improve my game. Filming myself to share video with coach. I was hitting most shots off balance and really working on my footwork and balance. Not an easy sport but I love it. Good luck to all of you. Check back in six months. 👍
The best lecture on blue ocean strategy.
A blue ocean strategy for policing? One could argue Bratton was ‘innovative’ as an NYPD Commish, I get that, but who was the competition? Future police commissioner appointees of rival political factions? Public expenditure being diverted away from policing and to social and human services? 30m:10s - the last time I checked, as a public good, mass transit systems are intended to have fare box recovery ratios, but aren’t intended to turn a profit.
Great content.
